​OR Navigation Camera - IMRIS Inc. 

 

DESIGN BRIEF - Tasked with re-designing the exterior plastic housing set for an existing camera component and to integrate mechanically with the surgical boom arm.

​

CHALLENGES - IMRIS Inc. a former client absent from our project list since 2004 wanted to renew relations and test out our design capabilities to determine whether a new relationship was worth pursuing. If successful, additional projects and revenue would result.  ​The challenge of leading the design efforts was put into my hands and the pressure was on my team and I to deliver an outstanding solution.  

 

RESULTS - Final deliverables included compelling design aesthetics, robust engineering and superior project management, which directly resulted in renewed confidence from the client and 5 additional projects.

​The aesthetic language and visual cues influenced the entire line of products for the VISIUS Surgical Theatre.
