QuickStickz - Interactive Camera - Skillz Systems ​​

Hockey skills training device using Infra Red (IR) camera technology to improve stick handling, puck control and peripheral vision.  

​The camera is attached to a computer and placed at the edge of a table top surface.  IR LEDs projects IR light within a defined area and a specialized ball containing numerous reflectors is stick handled within.  As the reflected light is captured by the camera, it is displayed onto a monitor screen containing games and drills.

While navigating the ball through the drills, users are forced to keep their heads up and focus their eyes on the monitor and relying more on feel and peripheral vision to control the real ball below.  The system is currently being used by professionals and amateurs alike.
